| A daughter complained to her father about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved a new one arose.. Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to a boil. In one he placed carrots, in the second he placed eggs, and the last he placed ground coffee beans. He let them sit and boil, without saying a word.. The daughter sucked her teeth and impatiently waited, wondering what he was doing. In about twenty minutes he and turned off the burners. He fished the carrots out and placedthem in a bowl. He pulled the eggs out and placed them a bowl. Then he ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl.. Turning to her he asked. "Darling, what do you see." "Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.. He brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. He then asked her to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg. Finally, he asked her to sip the coffee. She smiled as she tasted its rich aroma.. She humbly asked. "What does it mean Father?" He explained that each of them had faced the same adversity, boiling water, but each reacted differently.. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. But after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak.. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior. But after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened.. The ground coffee beans were unique however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.. "Which are you?," he asked his daughter. "When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean? " How about you? Are you the carrot that seems hard, but with pain and adversity do you wilt and become soft and lose your strength? Are you the egg, which starts off with a malleable heart? Were you a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a divorce, or a layoff have you become hardened and stiff. Your shell looks the same, but are you bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and heart? Or are you like the coffee bean? The bean changes the hot water, the thing that is bringing the pain, to its peak flavor reaches 212 degrees Fahrenheit. When the water gets the hottest, it just tastes better.. If you are like the coffee bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and make things better around you .. When people talk about you, do your praises to the Lord increase? When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest, does your worship elevate to another level? How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean? ~~author unknown~~ |

Secrets of the Kingdom Series 2 Vol 1
Preparing for the harvest Part 1
Over the past few years we have heard much of the coming harvest, however in many of the churches I have ministered in over the last few years I have seen very little preparation for the coming great harvest of souls that God is preparing to harvest. It seems like a great portion of the body of Christ is expecting a huge harvest of souls but very little preparation has been made to accommodate and steward this harvest. There is a universal expectation of an impending move of the Spirit of God that will sweep millions of souls into the Kingdom, but we act as if we don’t believe it. When the Soviet Union opened up to religious freedom many sects and cults were ready to move in with strategy and vision and the church was woefully unprepared. It is true that we are seeing in many parts of the world a large increase in those coming to the Lord but this is nothing to what is looming on the horizon in terms of the magnitude of this impending harvest.
Time is running out
In the mid 90s the Lord gave me three dreams in regard to the harvest, in the first dream I was walking along a beach on a very sunny day. It was calm and people were having a relaxing time playing and sunbathing. I looked out to sea and on the far horizon I saw the water mound up into a very large swell, as I watched this the swell began to rise up into a large wave, at this point the wave was still very far out on the horizon.
About five years later I had another similar dream but this time the wave was very large and was much closer to the shore. The wave contained or was imbedded with millions of people; it was a wave of people, a harvest wave. Those on the beach seemed oblivious to this wave which was about to crash onto the shore. I tried to warn the people but they seemed unconcerned and ignored me, in fact I felt that some of them were going to attack me. The wave finally broke on the shore with great force and power, I braced myself but the wave swept over me and I was unharmed, I turned looking to see how far the wave had swept inland and to my great amazement it had continued in inland as far as I could see. It was then I noticed the damage this wave had caused, I expected to see the whole landscape to be devastated by the force of this wave but this was not the case, only certain buildings had been destroyed. As I surveyed the damage it became apparent that many churches had collapsed and a number of Government buildings also had been destroyed.
In the third dream there was no visible church, there were just people filled with light, power and Glory spreading across the earth like a might wave, these people were invincible, although many of them offered themselves to become martyrs. This was the final harvest. There was very little distance between the 2 and 3rd waves. More of this later.
I pondered these dreams seeking to understand the spiritual significance and the Holy Spirit began to give me some insight. In the second dream the churches which had collapsed, which appeared to be the majority of them, where not ready for this harvest, the government building were those departments of government which in the past had handled the needs of its citizens, mainly social services. The abuse of citizens by many of these government departments over the past years has been frightening. I began to see how this harvest wave of millions of people would destroy the church as we know it now. The church is about to undergo a complete reformation and when the Lord has finished with it, the latter will have no resemblance to the former. In one generation the Lord will change the face of the church in this world. This new force of Christians in the earth began to take over many of the roles of government in social services. Along with this great harvest wave many of the seemingly rock solid intuitions of this modern world will begin to collapse. I saw superannuation funds collapse, government pension funds dried up, many banks went under and after a while governments could no longer bail them out. Many governments were financially bled dry by the enormous costs created by the consequences of earthquake and flood damage as great storms ravaged many nations, the devaluation of currencies added to this crises. During this time the true church bean to flourish, many of Gods people had prepared for this upheaval, I saw orphanages arise along with hospitals which not only catered for the physical needs of the people but also their spiritual needs, it was as though the church had taken over all of the government social services, Joseph Ministries began to flourish and huge resources were made available to the church.
A new paradigm a new mindset it needed
Pastors and leaders must take on a Kingdom emphases and mindset, the church age must give way to the Kingdom age. We are not here to build the church that is the Lords responsibility. We are here to proclaim the Kingdom of God and bring it to this earth. This will take many forms, there will be many large influential churches that have a Kingdom view, the leaders of these churches will not set out to build large churches but to manifest the Kingdom of God in this earth, congregations will be very fluid moving from one congregation to another, this will not alarm the new breed of leaders, in fact they will encourage it, because they are not trying to build their church but are building the Kingdom of God in their city. No one church has all the truth, the church in the city will become the emphasis. To survive and flourish in the coming changes the harvest will bring we must be prepared to change, adapt, and change our traditional mindsets which often become strongholds of the enemy.
We must start to prepare now
Over the next few months I am going to share my heart with you as we look at how to prepare. Sometime ago I awoke with an audible voice of the Lord who said;
“Ready or not I am coming”
Isaiah 60:
1: Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
2: For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3: And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
4: Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
5: Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee

"WILL YOU BECOME A HISTORY MAKER?"

"WILL YOU BECOME A HISTORY MAKER? A Call to Intercession and Friendship with God"
Abraham, spoken of in Scripture as a "friend of God" (see 2 Chronicles 20:7; Is. 41:8; James 2:23), was a powerful intercessor and the first one mentioned in the Bible. He wasn't God's friend because he was an intercessor; he was an intercessor because he was God's friend. The difference may be subtle, but I assure you it isn't small. He was quite bold in his intercession, by the way, asking God questions like, "Shall not the judge of all the earth do right?"(see Genesis 18:25).
Intimate relationships produce this kind of boldness--not an arrogant irreverence--but a confident boldness that eliminates the fear of rejection or being misunderstood. When I need a favor, I ask a friend or family member, not a stranger. If it's in that person's power to help me, he or she does. God wants us to be on such intimate terms with Him that it produces bold, confident, and effective intercession. I desperately desire that you would experience this type of intimacy in your relationship with God.
And the interceding friends of God become history makers. I have been smitten by this thought: We can either watch history being made, or we can make it. A few years ago on my birthday, a friend gave me a beautiful pen inscribed with the words "History Maker." Will I really become one? We'll know in 20 or 30 years. But I can assure you of one thing--I'm going to spend my life investing in the process. Being a history maker sometimes results in the sacrifice of our time, money, and comforts in order to respond to the invitations God gives us. A halfhearted reply or no response to our epoch-making opportunity can also be costly. Let's not make that mistake. Winston Churchill once said, "I'm not afraid of what history will say about me, because I intend to write it." That's my position--how about you?

"IT'S TIME TO REBEL AGAINST THE LIES OF THE ENEMY!"

I still remember it like it was yesterday. I was in seventh grade, and I sat next to Chloe Nelson. She was positively convinced she was better than me in every way. Nothing I did seemed to please her or make her like me. I still remember the day she first told me I was "weird;" it jabbed into my twelve-year-old mind like a knife, cutting away even more of my security about myself.
And I remember the day I overheard a relative say to others in the family about me, "She's too sensitive." And yes, there were others who thought I was not sensitive enough.
Then, just this week someone told me I was weird because I fasted too much.
We all have those little comments locked away in our minds--words spoken in the form of a curse or accusation against us--sent from hell to erode away our sense of who we are and Whose we are. It is those little pieces of our history that play a role in who we are today and keep us from becoming who we are destined to be.
Oh satan is coy, it's true. He throws accusations against our souls that we may have already been questioning about ourselves, to rock us off the Solid Rock of God's truth concerning us.
Everyday, dozens of messages are being sent to us through all kinds of sources. The enemy has an agenda. He wants to make us think we are powerless, hopeless, and can do very little to change things.
But he's wrong.
Since your childhood, satan has spent a great deal of his time trying to convince you that you are nothing and never will be anything. He has tried to make you feel like there's something really wrong with you--you know, deep down inside--something that disqualifies you from the abundant life Jesus has promised you, that He's died to give you.
Has he tried to make you feel that you are too old? Too young? Too overweight? Too ugly? Too Skinny? Stupid? Poor? A woman? Insecure? Or as Chloe liked to put it, has he tried to tell you that you are weird? He keeps sending the message that we are not what we are supposed to be.
Well, God says, "IT'S TIME TO REBEL AGAINST THE LIES OF THE ENEMY"--every one of them!
Satan is a liar, right? So, should we be looking to find the truth about who we are in the mouth of a liar? No. God's words are truth and life. Only He loves us enough to view us correctly; only He sees clearly our capabilities and the great destiny He has in store for us.
I Can Fly!
Many years ago I had a vision that I was in a house full of demons. They chased me all around the house, tormenting me with their accusations against me. I tried to get away from them; I just wanted them to leave me alone. But they were incessant. Like a drippy faucet, they kept coming back with more and more lies to try and rip at my mind with their nasty opinions of who I was and what I was incapable of.
I ran from them all over the house, frightened and crying. I felt hopeless to get away from them, tormented by their incessant accusations against me. I wanted it to stop.
I was running around the house as they all chased me. I turned and darted as fast as I could in a struggle to get away from them. Suddenly, as I turned slightly toward one of them, I saw it. Yeah, it was just a small flicker in one of their eyes at first, but I saw it. I saw fear in his ugly, little eyes.
I turned toward them and looked at them all. It was clear they were trying to hide it from me. They wanted to be the ones in control, and yet they were afraid of me.
I turned and planted myself in front of them and called their bluff. "Wait!" I said, "You're afraid of me, aren't you?"
"No!" they said.
They tried to hold their ground, but it was too late. I had seen the fear in their eyes.
I thought, "What are they afraid of?" Well, it wasn't me, of course. They were afraid of what was in me. They had tormented me and tried to convince me they had all the power. But when I saw that look in their eyes, I knew they were the ones who were truly afraid.
They tormented me to keep me from realizing my true power--the power I have as a child of God.
When I saw the fear sweeping over them, I knew then that they couldn't stop me. I walked right through them and headed straight for the door. I was getting out of that house.
It was my time to escape from the house of lies satan had built for me, and I was going for it. They were no match for me as I walked right through them; they had to move out of my way. I walked out the door of that house and kept on walking.
Yet, they followed me as I walked steadily away from them and that horrible old house of my past. They weren't standing in my way--now all they could do was follow me. They couldn't stop me, and they knew it, but they could still try to stop me with their lies.
They kept up quite a little onslaught of continual disapproval of everything I did. They tried in utter desperation to make me believe their stupid lies, but I kept walking.
Suddenly, my Father spoke to my heart and said, "Honey, you can fly!"
"What God? I can fly?" I thought. And then I knew deep down in my spirit I was truly destined to fly. I knew that God wanted me to fly; it was His will for me to do the impossible. So I decided to try...
I flew, at first just a few feet above the ground with the demons following still, but I was flying!
God told me I could, and He was right. I had the ability to fly all along and they knew it. That's why they were so afraid of me. They were afraid that someday I would find out that I could fly, and I would soar.
I flew above them struggling to fly away from them as they continued to throw up accusations of fear and doubt at me.
"You can't fly, you know," they would say. "No, really you can't fly!" they would shout. As I heard their lies, I felt myself slip down towards them slightly, losing an inch or two of altitude I'd gained, putting me closer to their grasp.
Then I heard God speak again to me, "But Victoria, you are flying."
"Oh, yeah," I thought, "Duh, I am flying." So I was doing what they said I couldn't do.
I knew as long as I stayed close to the ground they could throw their lies up at me. Suddenly, God said, "Fly higher."
That's when I felt a surge of true God-given faith! "I could fly higher," I realized.
I looked at those poor, forlorn creatures and began to smile. I could fly higher, out of their reach, away from them. "You can't touch this," I thought with a grin. And then I cast a gaze toward the sky, the big wide-open beautiful sky, and then I knew I was truly free. I could soar.
Affirm Yourself!
Have you felt the sting of rejection? Do you desire acceptance? Affirmation? Do you feel desperate for approval from someone but aren't getting it?
God says, "Affirm yourself!" Stir yourself up in God and rebel against the lies the enemy has thrown at you. It is time to rebel against the lies and accusations of the enemy and the harmful opinions of those who did not love you.
Rip off the labels Satan has plastered all over you and laugh at him...yeah, that's right, laugh at him. Laugh at him, because everything he's said about you is a lie, which means the opposite is true.
He's the one who's terrified of YOU!
You're not incompetent! He's just a liar.
You are not disqualified! He's just a liar.
You can do all things through Christ who is with you and is strengthening you, and yes, satan is a liar.
Satan has lied to you, but why? Why would he bother with you, trying to discredit you? What is he so afraid of? Well, maybe it's this--maybe you can fly!
He knows it's true, and he's dreading the day you will realize it. Step into your God-given destiny, and soar out of the devil's reach. He's afraid of the day you fly out of his grasp, over his head, and away into your God-given purpose in Christ.
He Knows the Plans

In the name of Jesus, I command you, satan, to shut your mouth now! Stop lying to me in Jesus' name. God, I ask You to send a spirit of truth to me right now to repel the lies of darkness. Flood my mind with Your peace, love, and joy. Loose off me the chains of rejection, self-hatred and condemnation. Speak Your truth deep into my spirit and help me to soar out of reach of the enemy. Dear Lord, help me to see myself the way You do and fulfill my destiny in You.

I still remember it like it was yesterday. I was in seventh grade, and I sat next to Chloe Nelson. She was positively convinced she was better than me in every way. Nothing I did seemed to please her or make her like me. I still remember the day she first told me I was "weird;" it jabbed into my twelve-year-old mind like a knife, cutting away even more of my security about myself.
And I remember the day I overheard a relative say to others in the family about me, "She's too sensitive." And yes, there were others who thought I was not sensitive enough.
Then, just this week someone told me I was weird because I fasted too much.
We all have those little comments locked away in our minds--words spoken in the form of a curse or accusation against us--sent from hell to erode away our sense of who we are and Whose we are. It is those little pieces of our history that play a role in who we are today and keep us from becoming who we are destined to be.
Oh satan is coy, it's true. He throws accusations against our souls that we may have already been questioning about ourselves, to rock us off the Solid Rock of God's truth concerning us.
Everyday, dozens of messages are being sent to us through all kinds of sources. The enemy has an agenda. He wants to make us think we are powerless, hopeless, and can do very little to change things.
But he's wrong.
Since your childhood, satan has spent a great deal of his time trying to convince you that you are nothing and never will be anything. He has tried to make you feel like there's something really wrong with you--you know, deep down inside--something that disqualifies you from the abundant life Jesus has promised you, that He's died to give you.
Has he tried to make you feel that you are too old? Too young? Too overweight? Too ugly? Too Skinny? Stupid? Poor? A woman? Insecure? Or as Chloe liked to put it, has he tried to tell you that you are weird? He keeps sending the message that we are not what we are supposed to be.
Well, God says, "IT'S TIME TO REBEL AGAINST THE LIES OF THE ENEMY"--every one of them!
Satan is a liar, right? So, should we be looking to find the truth about who we are in the mouth of a liar? No. God's words are truth and life. Only He loves us enough to view us correctly; only He sees clearly our capabilities and the great destiny He has in store for us.
I Can Fly!
Many years ago I had a vision that I was in a house full of demons. They chased me all around the house, tormenting me with their accusations against me. I tried to get away from them; I just wanted them to leave me alone. But they were incessant. Like a drippy faucet, they kept coming back with more and more lies to try and rip at my mind with their nasty opinions of who I was and what I was incapable of.
I ran from them all over the house, frightened and crying. I felt hopeless to get away from them, tormented by their incessant accusations against me. I wanted it to stop.
I was running around the house as they all chased me. I turned and darted as fast as I could in a struggle to get away from them. Suddenly, as I turned slightly toward one of them, I saw it. Yeah, it was just a small flicker in one of their eyes at first, but I saw it. I saw fear in his ugly, little eyes.
I turned toward them and looked at them all. It was clear they were trying to hide it from me. They wanted to be the ones in control, and yet they were afraid of me.
I turned and planted myself in front of them and called their bluff. "Wait!" I said, "You're afraid of me, aren't you?"
"No!" they said.
They tried to hold their ground, but it was too late. I had seen the fear in their eyes.
I thought, "What are they afraid of?" Well, it wasn't me, of course. They were afraid of what was in me. They had tormented me and tried to convince me they had all the power. But when I saw that look in their eyes, I knew they were the ones who were truly afraid.
They tormented me to keep me from realizing my true power--the power I have as a child of God.
When I saw the fear sweeping over them, I knew then that they couldn't stop me. I walked right through them and headed straight for the door. I was getting out of that house.
It was my time to escape from the house of lies satan had built for me, and I was going for it. They were no match for me as I walked right through them; they had to move out of my way. I walked out the door of that house and kept on walking.
Yet, they followed me as I walked steadily away from them and that horrible old house of my past. They weren't standing in my way--now all they could do was follow me. They couldn't stop me, and they knew it, but they could still try to stop me with their lies.
They kept up quite a little onslaught of continual disapproval of everything I did. They tried in utter desperation to make me believe their stupid lies, but I kept walking.
Suddenly, my Father spoke to my heart and said, "Honey, you can fly!"
"What God? I can fly?" I thought. And then I knew deep down in my spirit I was truly destined to fly. I knew that God wanted me to fly; it was His will for me to do the impossible. So I decided to try...
I flew, at first just a few feet above the ground with the demons following still, but I was flying!
God told me I could, and He was right. I had the ability to fly all along and they knew it. That's why they were so afraid of me. They were afraid that someday I would find out that I could fly, and I would soar.
I flew above them struggling to fly away from them as they continued to throw up accusations of fear and doubt at me.
"You can't fly, you know," they would say. "No, really you can't fly!" they would shout. As I heard their lies, I felt myself slip down towards them slightly, losing an inch or two of altitude I'd gained, putting me closer to their grasp.
Then I heard God speak again to me, "But Victoria, you are flying."
"Oh, yeah," I thought, "Duh, I am flying." So I was doing what they said I couldn't do.
I knew as long as I stayed close to the ground they could throw their lies up at me. Suddenly, God said, "Fly higher."
That's when I felt a surge of true God-given faith! "I could fly higher," I realized.
I looked at those poor, forlorn creatures and began to smile. I could fly higher, out of their reach, away from them. "You can't touch this," I thought with a grin. And then I cast a gaze toward the sky, the big wide-open beautiful sky, and then I knew I was truly free. I could soar.
Affirm Yourself!
Have you felt the sting of rejection? Do you desire acceptance? Affirmation? Do you feel desperate for approval from someone but aren't getting it?
God says, "Affirm yourself!" Stir yourself up in God and rebel against the lies the enemy has thrown at you. It is time to rebel against the lies and accusations of the enemy and the harmful opinions of those who did not love you.
Rip off the labels Satan has plastered all over you and laugh at him...yeah, that's right, laugh at him. Laugh at him, because everything he's said about you is a lie, which means the opposite is true.
He's the one who's terrified of YOU!
You're not incompetent! He's just a liar.
You are not disqualified! He's just a liar.
You can do all things through Christ who is with you and is strengthening you, and yes, satan is a liar.
Satan has lied to you, but why? Why would he bother with you, trying to discredit you? What is he so afraid of? Well, maybe it's this--maybe you can fly!
He knows it's true, and he's dreading the day you will realize it. Step into your God-given destiny, and soar out of the devil's reach. He's afraid of the day you fly out of his grasp, over his head, and away into your God-given purpose in Christ.
He Knows the Plans

tax payer's money to build an enormous mosque
Hi
I am posting this as I feel the government would not use tax payers funds to build a Church, so why should it be used to build a mosque.
If we don't stand for our convictions, who will.
It is time to stand and let our voice be heard.

I’m not so sure that the development of a mega mosque bigger that St Pauls, paid for out of public funds, is a good idea for harmonious inter racial relations, nor is it fair from the perspective that our British Churches get no Government support whatsoever.
I am against the investment of public funds on such projects and in the following Downing street survey vote I have voted no this investment should not be made. Read on see what you think
Rest assured this is not a waste of time, these survey/voting mechanisms really do work; look what happened to the road pricing and vehicle monitoring proposals due to the huge ‘anti vote’ that was generated.
Please do vote as Downing Street really does take account of the messages coming thro on such important matters as this.

Don't know if you have heard about this but Ken Livingstone is apparently
planning to use tax payer's money to build an enormous mosque costing
an estimated £100M in the docklands.
Wouldn't it be better to spend the money on a new hospital or
improved transport facilities. anything but such a scheme as this:
The mosque will be BIGGER THAN ST PAUL'S!!!
The plan is for the mosque to be so big so that people flying in from all over the world for the 2012 Olympics will see it as the biggest landmark in London , bigger than St Pauls, Westminster Abbey or Wembley Stadium.
The vote so far is 56 % in favour. It looks like the Muslim community in
the UK is casting its vote in droves, and as usual the British are burying
their heads in the sand....
It is an undemocratic use of British Tax payers money, especially when
our Churches that are 100's of years old get no government funding to keep
their structures standing, and we are supposedly a Christian Nation.
To vote to "Scrap the 'Mega-Mosque" please sign the official Government
petition in the link below.
